HP customer service absolutely tried to scam me. My printer wouldn’t connect to my laptop so I contacted customer service. They had someone call me. I shared my screen with him and he told me my computer had a virus and that’s why the printer wouldn’t connect. He said he’d have to charge me to speak to a specialist. I was like uhhh… no. I got off the phone and took another look at my printer and realized I hadn’t pushed the cartridge in all the way. Now it works perfectly. So I told HP someone tried to scam me and they said they’d “pass it on to higher authorities” and when I typed out what happened they said “again i am so sorry” (All lowercase which seemed weird to me?) and then the customer service chat box disappeared. Do not give them your money!
