Dear Hp

I'm so dissapointed in having bought an HP laptop as my first laptop when i entered college. I was so happy to get an actual HP laptop but now heartbroken. One day when I opened my laptop I discovered something wrong with my screen and so I took it to get it repaired from Best Buy (because that's where I had bought it from, unfortunetly they succeded in selling me the worst company's laptop ever) and I was told they couldn't repair it and would have to send it to HP for investigation because they said the screen had physical damage and had cracked when i saw no crack on it and i don't understand how it could have been physical damage also. Unfortunetly my screen did not get repaired and now I'm stuck with a broken laptop or I could get it repaired with $400 (which I choose not to because I could get a new laptop in that). I'm so diaapointed because my laptop's screen (apparently there's this inner screen or something that cracked and does not allow my screen to work) is permanently gone and now I'm unable to do anything. HP puts in a bad screen and then it's labeled as a physical damage so that the manufacturer doesn't have to repair it. I'm sorry to say but I would never recommend HP to anyone (being one of those people who was recommended HP by a friend).  adn would never ever but it again. Now that I think about it we have a PC from HP also which doesnt work either.

Thanks HP for making me waste my collected money (since I was a child, and collected it to buy one for my college) on a stupid laptop that has a screen that will never work again.

Sincerly

A dissapointed HP costumer

Sorry to hear that, but I fell under the same bait as you. I had a few HPs sicne 2004, but my last one changed everything. my touch pad stopped working a while back and since it was out of warenty, i had to pay $250. I glot an 90 day free warenty. Well just last month my touch pad quit working again. I sent it in and I checked the repair status and it said I had a $265 charge. I contracted HP and the guy from inida canceled the service order and I waited for two days for a phone call. Nothing. So I e-maile the CEO and I got a call from some guy named mike and he told me my machine has physical damange. Like hell, i would destory my own $3500 laptop. He tried giving me a discount - $200, but I said no. I shouldnt have to pay since i got a free extended warenty.

I got the machine back, and it was missing the left and right mouse buttons, as well as the up arrow. The windows key doesnt work and HP wont do a **bleep** thing about it.

I think I may go with a mac.

oh and don't be disapointed when Wendy or Sandy come on and closes this. They love clicking that button.

I bought an HP laptop last Aug 6.  The unit had defective speaker and the dealer did a one-for-one exchange.   After less than a month, the unit just turned off and would not  power on.   I needed to bring it to service center who confirmed that it’s due to defective motherboard.   HP offered repairing but I insisted on a replacement.   While waiting for the new unit, HP delivered a service unit.   I could have appreciated it only if it came with a battery and I did not have to request for one.   After all, I need a battery to use the laptop.

After a few follow-ups and almost 3 weeks, I got the new unit.   But only to be frustrated again because it does not have windows pre-installed.

I am very frustrated with HP’s handling of this case.  It has caused me a lot of inconveniences and has left me with an unusable laptop which costs me almost 2,000 dollars.

I am also very DISAPPOINTED with HP.   Not sure who else can help to solve my problem.   I am considering filing a formal complaint to CASE.
