Product: HP Pavilion dm1-4300sa Notebook PC
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I have many precious photos and videos of a beloved pet who has just passed away, trapped in an old notebook I can't get into because I've forgotten the password. I've looked for support but HP says this notebook is a retired product and so they can't provide any help. Does anyone have any advice on how I can get in to retrieve these irreplaceable memories? It's breaking my heart honestly.

According to the Community's Rules of Participation:

 

4d. No posts shall include instructions/directions intended to bypass or subvert security mechanisms such as lock screens, BitLockers, BIOS lock, passwords, fingerprint/biometry scanners, PINs nor any other safety measures.

 

Therefore, this topic is being locked. If you would like help resetting the password on your product, please Contact HP support in your region. 


For cases related to BitLocker issues, please contact Microsoft Support.
