Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP Rechargeable Active Pen G3 connects with my laptop (HP ProBook 455 G10 15.6" Pro Wolf Security, Processor AMD Ryzen 5 7530U with Radeon Graphics 2.00 GHz, Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.3 GB usable), Device ID 2393014B-A25B-4B95-B26B-925C6F7206A9, Product ID 00355-61225-65282-AAOEM, System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor) via bluetooth, however no pen buttons work and stylus does not perform on my laptop. I was told by an HP employee that this specific pen works on my laptop and to buy it, but instead of forking out the $100 that the pen costs, chose an option on Amazon for much cheaper (same exact pen but refurbished). Pen came without cord or instruction manual. What am I missing for this to work on my laptop, even at all?

TL;DR

I have

- Verified that the pen is compatible

- Successfully connected the pen to my laptop via Bluetooth, with it recognizing as a pen/stylus.

I have NOT

- taken further actions or steps (besides downloading HP Pen Control App which says that the app was incompatible with my laptop and promptly closed itself).

It does NOT

- work, at all, no buttons, no writing, nothing. Shows battery percentage accurately, and acknowledges that a pen is connected (with the right name), but nothing else.
