HP Smart app
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP Smart app eats computer memory with every scanned page ~40MB/page. And it takes longer and longer to scan every next page.

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.

Scanning large data can use more resources and some other tasks.

The application does not typically "eat" more resource than needed for the job.

That said, in general, the app should not be drawing more and more resources and slowing down.

If the data (current scan data / scan job) is of reasonable size,

(and)

If the system is not in need of Windows Updates (check / run / restart of the system),

(and)

If the system is generally healthy,

(then)

Try / Consider...

If you have not done so,

Restart Everything, including the router that controls your network.

Try again...
