Hi,

I made an unfortunate thing which would like to roll somehow back...

Today I logged into my comparatively long-standing HP account with intention to update all its outdated data/info, one of which was supposed to be an old email address... I already fixed nearly every field, when at some point of time decided to visit the community/forum page... I didn't yet have a profile here by that time, so the system offered me to set a new public display name, which I did... The problem is that I did it BEFORE updating the email address on my HP account... Of course, then (later) I successfully changed this, but the same wasn't also made here, on community/forum profile, and I cannot really find a way how might it be done now... The "How to Change your Email Address" instructions given by Danny-r/Sharit_S are outdated, which is actually quite a ridiculous and even annoying (especially taking into consideration how many people here asked the same question in the past)... Why such a simple and matter-of-course thing has to be so much challenging?..

Can anybody help me please?..

P.S. Kindly move the topic to a proper board... Sorry...

Regards,
Sergii O. Tkachenko

OK, the kind of a sad news here is that deletion of a community/forum profile seems isn't possible - this might only be forsook, or even banned instead, but not deleted...

However, the good news for those who wish just to update their obsolete email address in community/forum profile is in the fact that such a change is though possible:

 - open your profile Settings ("My Settings") page - https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/user/myprofilepage

 - find the "Update your account details" line with a hyperlink - https://myaccount.id.hp.com/uaa - press it to open your HP account ("My Account") page

 - find the "Primary email address" line and press a corresponding to this 'pencil' button

 - save your new/updated email address

The problem here is that the changes made on the HP "My account" page don't get reflected on the community/forum profile "My Settings" page immediately... Synchronization, as it turns out, takes some time (perhaps up to 24 hours or maybe longer)... So now you should just wait out the delay...

Also, you will need to verify your new email address, but in my case I wasn't offered to do this immediately after the change as well...

Hope this information will be helpful for someone... So, good luck!..

P.S. I have no relation to the Hewlett-Packard Company...
