I wasn’t getting anywhere on virtual chat so live chat came on.  After explaining my issue she said I needed to talk to tech support and asked for my phone number. Someone then called me and wanted me to download TeamViewer so they could remote access and look at printer setup on MAC.  Is this normal support? Has anyone else been asked to do this?

@BJMR

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry! We are in your corner.

To get the answer to this question, yes HP provides remote service to assist users on issues such as general performance, network, security, and mobility. HP support agent will perform remote troubleshooting to diagnose the issue and, if possible, solve it immediately.

However, the HP support agent will be using only HP remote tool, not the team viewer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
