FEEDBACK:  Imagine my delight when opening the box of my new HP Envy X360 2-in-1 Flip Laptop, 15.6" ... (my 4th Envy to date) ... Imagine how that delight faded when upon pressing the power button I ran into a roadblock. (Paraphrased) - "Your shiny new HP PC needs an update before it can be booted up for the first time (that's not a brilliant decision), so you're going to have connect to the internet, get the update, THEN proceed to start up your computer".      😞      NOT happy.  Now, if you're like me, you connect to the internet via Wifi 99.99999% of the time. Does my brand new, first time powered-up PC have access to my Wifi network? Of course not. When could it possibly have gotten the ID or credentials?  Will I get that chance to show it my wifi when I click NEXT?  Sadly, no. The message goes on to say that if I can't connect via wifi I'll need to connect via cable.  How 80's. When's the last time I used an ethernet cable? 3+ years, I'm estimating. SO, I go rummaging about my tool bins and find an ethernet cable.  I click the cable into my router and only then realize/remember that the HP Envy X360 2-in-1 Flip Laptop, 15.6"  doesn't come with an ethernet port (You've seen this coming already, many of you) ... OR an adapter to convert from ethernet to USB 3 or C ... OR ... a marketing note in the Amazon ad-blurb telling you that "if you buy this machine, you're very likely going to need such an adapter, so why not buy it when you buy the PC, since we were to cheap to include it".  So, there you are with your shiny new PC, but until you drive out and get OR buy online/deliver an adapter, you have a heavy box and nothing more. So, marketing folks at HP, learn this lesson. When we spend over $1,000 on a purchase, we expect it to work out of the box, not AFTER we buy something else. What's next, no more AC adapter in the box? At VERY LEAST, update your ads in your selling spaces to HIGHLY RECOMMEND the purchase of anything (cable AND adapter) that might be required to allow the user to actually USE the item they just spent over $1,000 bringing into their lives. I've been buying PC's since the 80's, and it's been a LONG time since I needed auxiliary gear to make my PC work out of the box. Let's not go back in time, shall we?

PS - I scanned the selling page on Amazon for the word ethernet to see if I'd just overlooked a warning that I'd need both a cable and an adapter ... nope. It's just not there.
