To all intending purchasers of HP products.
Did you know that there are no service outlets at all in Australia to have a product looked at if it breaks down.
I live near and within driving distance of Brisbane Qld
My HP Officejet 6500 stopped working.
Aafter nearly 45 minutes on the phone to a call centre outside Australia I was told that a new power adapter (which, to the call taker, appeared to be the problem) would be sent out to me within 3 - 5 working days.
Not much good to me if it goes over a weekend as I need the printer for my small business.
Also if it is not the power adapter at fault I am back at square one and will have to go through all this again to have the printer replaced (it is still under warranty)
You, as I have found out, will just have to wait.
I suggest you consider this above information when intending to purchase an HP product

Dear brucealenby,
I was attracted by your post because my company is an HP Partner that supports Australia and New Zealand. Just being
curious I went to google.com, clicked on Google Maps and made AUSTRALIA as my default location. I typed your own
words:" HP service outlets in australia "- without the " ",on the search box and, bingo , I have about 240 results, the most in New South Wales and Victoria. Please check the url below:

In addition to that, I have an official list of HP resellers and authorized Parts Sellers, that can be accessed with my official HP tool, which I am not allowed to share in this forum. Call HP at 1300721147 and we'll be happy to help you. Make sure
you chose the correct options for desktop,laptop/notebook, or printers after the recorded voice prompt to bring you
where you want. Also, please visit www.hp.com.au
Best Regards
