Re: Replacement cable for mixed reality headset - Part cannot be ordered?? 940814-001

HP Recommended

Hi I was looking at VR headsets and came across this model in eBay with you guessed it NO CABLE.

Failure to provide a replacement cable that is a bad design, and lets face it any parts manufaturer, designer, or technician, and end user understands the concept of " METAL FATIGUE" that results from metal movement this includes "WIRES" offering no ability to repace a componet crucial to use or continued use is  either coproprite negligence or extreamly poor customer service for their product.  The item is not fit for purpose as is designed for delibetate failure without the ability to repalce a fautly component that is know to have a high rate of failure regardless of time to faiure.  HP either have to replace any cable free of charge regardless of warranty time as they have negligently failed to provide customers with any viable means of replacement or purchase a replacement when the cable fails.

They should thus make these devices wireless or manufacutre a wireless dongle to be fused to the existing socket and at the PC or whatever device the are normally plugged into for end users to use this product, or provide repalcement cables for purchase in their stores or wherever these items are availble for purchase..

Either way until this is resolved it serves as a warning regarding HP and the support or lack therof regarding their products.

It should be addressed and fast as the potential to harm their brand name is very high.
