W11 Upgrade on Z420 Z620... easy - HP Support Community - 8474253
As far as loving or hating W11...
I only did it because it was advertised that W11 boots up faster and performs a little better than W10.
I found that to be true on every PC I upgraded to except one old Dell e4200 laptop.
It didn't work very well on W10 either, so I sent it back to W7 which was the original operating system it came with.
The other reason was to have extended operating system updates/support through 2031, instead of 2025.
Yes, I am aware that Microsoft has stated that unsupported PC's may not get these updates but so far, mine have gotten every one of them, and I have no reason to believe that will suddenly end one day.

Hi
you have windows 10, and your computer is not 100% compatible, it is possible to force the installation in order to use windows 11!
But I don't recommend it, a lot of users are forced to go back to windows 10, and you don't have all the features available in windows 11 anyway.
So you have a windows 11 system, but that will not bring much compared to windows 10..
And we can be quite confused about some fairly questionable changes
The computer is newer and is compatible, it was my case, but not 100%, for all the features!
Although it is not always easy to adapt, I would say that the system is quite stable, for my case!
So I would recommend it, but I don't find a real need to install it if windows 10 was right for the user!
For the moment, there is nothing great compared to windows 10, moreover as updates are made, changes are made, not always in a good way!
An uninformed user risks quickly getting lost in the functions.
Why make it complicated when it was simple!
Conclusion, I advise to wait, and to have the possibility of buying a computer that will be 100% compatible, if you need to take full advantage of windows 11

LOVE these thorough answers, especially with 'personal experience' discussion;
for me, this is best way to learn....even if I have to google half the terminology🤔.
NOT keeping my current (old & 'bewitched' pc) but it IS operating on W10 (after
dozens of updates from 'originally installed' W7!! My query is more for NEW pc
I'm buying/shopping, so I asked solely because there are a couple units that are
'stacked' with quality components, but come pre-installed with W10 (old build??).
Truthfully, have all but disregarded this question since W11 has become prevalent
in dang-near every pc (with 2022 build-date) AND since I always buy/configure/etc
anything to be 'future-proof' starting out 'old' from day 1 seems I'd be antiquating.
