Hi I am new to HP data Protector so please help me to know some questions:

 

1.) Why we do host entry while installing HP data protector on client and is it necessary to do host entry?

 

2.) In my environmnet backup specification name is given:-

 

Adhoc_Physical_Unix, Adhoc_Physical_Windows, Adhoc_VM_Unix,

Adhoc_VM_Windows what do we mean by adhoc in this case also they ask to take snapshot backup how do we configure snapshot backup?

Welcome to the forums. Hewlett Packard LLC. split into two companies in November of 2015. HP Inc (this company) and Hewlett Packard Enterprise, a different company.
