Re: Pavilion dv7t - no TV tuner signal

Two years ago, I purchased an HDX-18t 1200 CTO with integral TV Tuner. I thought it would be great to have an "All-in-one" media device.
I too had trouble with the TV Tuner and its small portable TV Antenna. I thought it was the signal---but after one year of screwing with it, dancing around to find the signal in my room, I figured out that it was the TV Tuner PORT and the connector of the Antenna. After so many pluggins and unpluggin' the connection becomes wobbly and sloppy. There is NO good connection!
I got a second Antenna, and then sent it in for the TV Tuner because it couldn't find any channels. I sent it in for Tech Support. They sent it back ----Finding NOTHING wrong. It has been another year. I sent it back to Tech with the my bad Antenna. They Checked the box, "Problem replicated, repaired problem".
That was NOT the case. It was NEVER fixed. After checking the dates of this thread----They ALWAYS KNEW they had a problem and in my first case of sending it to TECH under warranty----they did nothing about it!!!!!!!!!
Does TECH read this **bleep** forum? Where is HP TECH? Don't they keep up with the customer response?
I finally ended up with their Escalation Team, where they do offer a $125 Voucher for a TV Tuner. I asked the lady and she sent me an HP USB TV Tuner to replace my **bleep**ty service on my Integral TV Tuner. If you have a problem with the TV Tuner talk with the Escalation Team.
The Integral TV Tuner and its connector to the antenna is a BAD Design. It can be easily fixed, redesigned, but they refused to do anything! I sent to Tech TWICE and TWICE it was returned with NO action! WOW.
