Dear Gemini,
Thank you for your reply.
I need to report a bug with both the official solution Built-In Driver, and with HP Scan and Print Doctor.
I followed this:
HP Deskjet 900C Series Printers - How to Align the Print Cartridges
NOTE: A manual/software calibration option accompanied each driver variant thus far, as the auto calibration was not deemed sufficient in-of-itself.
I followed your instructions and ran the program - HP Print and Scan Doctor. Here are the results without any modifications:
HP P&S doctor - Evaluation Test Print - Black and White Only - Alignment is better:
HP P&S doctor - Evaluation Test Page - Full colour - Very different outcome when colour is involved:
It is very clear - alignment is necessary.
So - Hp Print & Scan Doctor menu > Printer > - Services:
Although listed - it CANNOT be selected. Neither can any of the other options.
This is the bug.
Just to be clear - As mentioned previously - Alignment/Calibration is a base/core necessary function for this printer - not an extra add on. It is a vital base function, for this printer to function.
As you can see below, the other base functions are indeed included in the windows Built-In Driver:
&
Gemini, it seems that the alignment base function has simply been missed in the officially supported built-in driver solution purely by accident.
Who do we get in touch with, to report this bug and get it rectified please. We are talking about the officially supplied/supported solution having a hole in it.
Many thanks,
QuidcoSingh
