Yes that's right people HP destroyed my computer.. How you ask I'll tell ya. I called them about fixing my computer CD ROM drive because it will not read any CD I put in it. I put in a CD or DVD blank or not and it just spits it back out. So after I had to file a formal complaint I got someone willing to help so I thought. She will remain nameless as this is still an on going case with HP. So she wanted to know what was the trouble with my computer so I gave her the run down which is as follows. 1. CPU cooling fan sounds like a buzz saw. 2 Battery no longer takes a charge. 3 CD ROM. 4. I never got the remote with my computer(no big deal) 5. I had to replace the hard drive 6 months after I bought it because HP and Wal-Mart said they couldn't help me with my problem. If that's the case DO NOT get the extended warranty from Wal-Mart when you buy a computer it's a waste of $100. So she said I'm sorry to hear about your troubles send it in and we will fix it for this one time only and we can sell you an extended warranty at a discount because your on a fixed income (disabled vet). Now mind you my computer is only 3 years old. I have the HP Paviliondv7-1129 I spent $1,200 on it plus the extra $100 to Wal-Mart. So I get the box from HP and the very same hour I last used I packed it up and took it to FedEx. Now it was sent 24 hour next day air to HP in TX where it sat for a day before they called to say they got it. Now 3 days later they are calling me tell me that I spilled a liquid inside my computer. Funny how it was working except for the listed above the day I sent it to HP. Now HP is telling me that they are going to ship me a totally useless computer back to me.. So What gives HP?? Do you not stand behind your word? If one of my employees tells a customer "We will get it fixed for you."  then they better get it fixed not give the customer back something that is worse off than when they sent it in.

So I sent my computer into HP to have a new battery put in a new cpu cooling fan installed and my cd rom replaced. HP calls me and tells me my computer and been destroyed beyond all repair there was a liquid poured in it. Thats funny it worked when it left my hands except for the battery the cd rom and the cooling fan. So they tell me they are shipping my computer back to me unrepaired. So thanks HP for the really cool $1,300 paper weight. I dont see how it went from my hands sorta working to in the box then to fedex 30min after being in the box to HP for  4 days before they call and tell me that someone or some how liquid got spilled all over my keyboard and some how messed up my motherboard witch caused my battery to stop taking a charge witch made my cd rom go out witch made my cpu cooling fan sound like a buzz saw.. If thats the case why weren't any of my keys sticky at the time I boxed it up??? How come in the pics you sent me HP there is no proof of a liquid being spilled? Why is it that my working hard drive is no longer working? I have a pic of it working the night before I sent it into HP.  HP sent me an email telling me that they would fix it at no charge to me and that it is under warranty. Now they are telling me over the phone they can't fix unless I shell out $1000. When I asked about my hard drive they said it failed and doesn't work but it worked when I shipped it out. Now when I get my computer back its not going to work at all and they say its my fault but when I sent it in I could get into windows I could do just about everything but play or burn cd's or dvd's or use my computer on battery power yes the buzzing sound from the fan was a pain at lest I had a computer not a $1,300 paper weight. I will never buy any HP products again and I hope you read this and think twice about buying HP products their customer support team sucks and did nothing to try and make this right or make sure their customer was happy.

I sent my computer into HP to have a new battery put in, a new CPU cooling fan installed and my CD ROM replaced. HP calls me and tells me my computer and been destroyed beyond all repair, claiming there had been a liquid poured in it. That's incorrect and never happened in my care. It worked when it left my hands except for the battery, the CD ROM and the cooling fan. HP informs me they are shipping my computer back to me as unrepairable.  Thanks HP for the really cool $1,300 paper weight. I don't see how it went from my hands sorta working, to in the box, then to Fed-Ex 30 min. after being in the box,(By the way, I have proof that my computer was on and working 30 min before the time on the receipt Fed-Ex gave me.) to HP for  4 days, before they call and tell me that my computer was destroyed beyond all repair. HP claims that liquid got spilled all over my keyboard and some how messed up my motherboard, which caused my battery to stop taking a charge, which made my CD ROM go out, which made my CPU cooling fan sound like a buzz saw. That's the biggest pile of BS I have ever heard.  Nothing was ever spilled on my computer, I am known for taking good care of my computer.  So if that's the case, why weren't any of my keys sticky at the time I boxed it up??? How come in the pics you sent me HP, there is no proof of a liquid being spilled? Why is it that my working hard drive is no longer working? I have a pic. of it working the night before I sent it into HP.  HP sent me an email telling me that they would fix it at no charge to me and that it is under warranty. ( A legal binding contract.) Now they are telling me over the phone they can't fix it  unless I shell out $1000. When I asked about my hard drive they said it failed and doesn't work, but it worked when I shipped it out. Now when I get my computer back its not going to work at all and they say its my fault. When I sent it in I could get into windows, I could do just about everything but play or burn CD's or DVD's or use my computer on battery power. Yes, the buzzing sound from the fan was a pain, at least I had a computer not a $1,300 paper weight. I will never buy any HP products again and I hope you read this and think twice about the way your customer support team treats people. All I got from your employees was, we can't, I can't, we won't, I won't. I think your customer support could be greatly improved and that they and your company did nothing to try and make this right or make sure their customer was happy. The only thing your company could do was offer me was $75.00 off a new $1,300 computer. Come on, really? That's like 6%. I am a disabled Veteran, I live on a fixed income of $123.00 a month.  Do you really think I can afford a new computer? Let alone pay you $1000 to fix it after you told me you would fix it for free.
