,

i am a resident of Karachi, Pakistan.
recently over a month ago, i bought the latest Hp envy15 k211tx, which comes with a 5th generation core i7 processor and a pre-installed windows 8.1.
I took out the machine from the box and started the windows registration process.
The machine got stuck while i was entering my information. It looked suspicious as nothing could be done except to restart it.
After the restart, the machine again froze on the startup,

Then again at the desktop,

then again and again and again. It seemed like there was no particular place where it was going to freeze. It could happen anywhere and anytime. as the machine was just box opened. I immediately sent it back to my retailer, who sent it to HP for warranty claim. After 3 days HP informs me that "WE HAVE GOT THE MACHINE AND ITS WORKING PERFECTLY HERE, DO YOU HAVE ANY VIDEOS YOU MADE OF THE FREEZING PROBLEM ? SO THAT WE HAVE SOME PROOF"
unfortunately this didnt cross my mind and i had no proof. HP returned my machine, scratched, covered in dust. I started the notebook and again it started freezing, this time i made sure to make alot of videos.
the notebook was sent back to HP along with the videos. After 3 days i get another response from the supervisor of HP OFFICE DUBAI that "WE HAVE TESTED EACH AND EVERY HARDWARE COMPONENT AND WE HAVE ALSO TRIED THE HARDWARE DIAGNOSIS, THE HARDWARE IS WORKING PERFECTLY, WE ARE ONLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE HARDWARE, THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE WINDOWS, THE OPERATING SYSTEM IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE LATEST 5th GENERATION PROCESSORS, IT MAY BE POSSIBLE THAT WHEN THE NEW WINDOWS-10 GETS RELEASED YOU WILL HAVE NO ISSUES RUNNING IT"
They were sending it back but i refused my retailer to do so . I asked him to make a Strict complain. He did so. To which HP again kept my machine for another 4 days and now finally sent it back saying THE HARDWARE IS PERFECT WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR OPERATING SYSTEM
i spent around $1300 of my precious hard earned money on this machine, and what am i getting ???
did i ask for any discounts or something ?? NO i paid what you guys asked
i have two questions, You guys ask the customer to pay for the windows, suppose even if the windows is faulty, arent you supposed to help your customer resolve this issue??? arent you supposed to deliver the perfect product??? are the customers Fools to buy something that doesnt run on the current universal operating system ????
another question i have is that SINCE WHEN DID WINDOWS 8.1 STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE 5th GEN PROCESSORS ?? DELL, ASUS, LENOVO etc etc all are running it perfectly why dont they have problems with the windows and if this was the case how come nobody accused INTEL of producing such useless processor ???
i was a FAN of Hewlet packard, 70% of the computer stuff i own is from HP but i now i think i will have to switch to something which protects its customers.

Thankyou HP for dissapointing me
now i will never recommend you to anyone
and btw i see alot of people complaining about how HP service makes a fool of them when they claim warranties of defected products, it just proves how you treat your customers, i dont expect a reaction from your side, i know the maximum you are gonna do is apologize, you will never compensate me my loss

you unsatisfied customer
