Several months ago, I purchased an HP 4630 All-in-One OfficeJet printer. When my printer needed replacement of the Black Ink cartridge, I purchased a lower-cost Black cartridge from Cartridge World here in Sugar Land TX. During installation, several steps were required to acknowledge that the warranty for this printer would be nullified if using a non-HP replacement cartridge. I was given the option to choose. After several successful installations of non-HP cartridges, I am now locked out by HP to use non-HP ink cartridges. [Content Removed]. Please take my comments as serious.
HP is holding us hostage to buying and using their higher-priced ink cartridges. After successfully installing 3 Cartridge World cartridges, HP is LOCKING me out of exercising my choice of using a non-HP product. This is the U.S. HP is stopping me from freedom of choice. Why would I bring my car to a dealership charging $150 an hour when my mechanic across town charges half of that? I simply want the right to choose! I'm referring this matter to the [Content Removed]
After deceitfully listening to my issue for over an hour, Xavier and his supervisor admitted that after several successful non-HP ink cartridge installations, the system is set up to lock-out further non-HP cartridge installations. They knew this at the onset, but continued to try to convince me that the only solution was for me to buy HP cartridges. They wasted over an hour of my evening by not telling me the truth up-front. I want cash reimbursement for my time!
