We bought the HP Envy about three months ago, and one day upon opening it up for use, we found a crack starting to form. We're two adults on a budget, and we were only able to afford the Envy with the help of our tax return, so we had been very careful with it and had no idea what had caused it. We sent the laptop to HP for repair since it was obviously still under warranty, and waited. A few days before we were expecting the laptop to come back, I received a call and was told that after review, it appeared that we had done something to create the crack and we would need to pay $355 to repair the screen. We don't just have $355 sitting around, and we were not responsible for the damage in the first place. I got nothing but empty words from the person I spoke to, and was told that since we couldn't pay, there was nothing else they could do for me and it would be sent back. I will never buy anything from HP again.
