This computer is not supported by the System Revory Discs.

You will not be able to continue to recover this system with these discs.

Error: 0100-3658-3656-3657

..and there you have it.

I am an I.T. Director; don't waste my time with useless quetsions.

This is an HP DV6; I filled out the request form after entering my serial number on the HP site to get the discs.

The original hard drive died; I have a new one in there that is formatted and ready to go.

And then I got the error message; I used another hard drive; formatted as well.

I know Win7 works becuase, before I was going to give you 20 bucks, I wanted to make sure

that this laptop will run Win7 from another hard drive (doubly confirming that the original hard drive was bad)

and it ran Win7 Enterprise out of a work laptop that I have access to.

It ran like a charm. So, then I order the Discs from HP to match the COA on the laptop Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and i get the error message mentioned above.

So, how do I get the discs to install Win7?

Although I am an HP employee, I am speaking for myself and not for Hewlett-Packard.
