I have a SAVI 8200 headset from Plantronics. It works well but each time I use it I have to switch the headset on and it takes a couple of seconds before it activates which is very frustrating this is the first time I've had this problem with a headset and wonder if I have set it up correctly?

I’m truly sorry to hear about the issue you're experiencing with your headset, and I completely understand how important it is for the device to be functioning properly. To help resolve this, I would like to suggest a few troubleshooting steps that may help identify and fix the issue.
 

  1. Please ensure that the firmware of your headset is up to date by using the Poly Lens application on your PC.
  2. Make sure the headset battery is fully charged to rule out any power-related issues.
  3. Try disconnecting the base from the power cord and then reconnecting the headset.
  4. If possible, test the headset with a different device, such as another computer or phone. If the delay only occurs with one specific device, the issue may be related to the Bluetooth settings or drivers on that device.
