Hello everyone, yesterday I bought a used plotter that is less than a year old, but for some reason, the warranty from HP has expired. (Maybe it was bought refurbished - I have the receipt)

Unfortunately, the plotter is not working...

I get an error message on the plotter when I start it. It tries to spin the service box motor, and after a few seconds, it stops everything it is doing and displays the following error code: 0047-0017.

I have opened up the plotter and checked all the cables, and everything looks fine. It is also very clean, with no ink spills. I can see on the internet that this error code means "Unable to move Pick Servo or no feedback received" and I need to do the following: "Remove covers and check that cables to Printer Bundle Board, pick motor. Replace Cable, Replace pick motor."

I just want to be completely sure that I am looking in the right place. Is the pick motor the one that opens and closes the service box? I assume I need to replace my pick motor and cable. Where can I get this spare part? Is it something HP can help with? I want to make sure I buy the one that fits my model. I hope someone can help.

Thanks!

If the product was never registered, then the warranty would show from date of manufacture, not date of sale. That information is updated once a product is registered by the end user after purchase. If you have a bill of sale that shows less than one year from date of purchase you should be able to register the product here https://www.register.hp.com/?jumpid=ps_ca_go_mk_se_cm017092_pu_na&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIpa-...

Further, no the motor on the service station is not the pick motor. The pick motor would be related to the paper feed.
