Hi.

Yes. It is other menu. Service menu. The way of entry is pressing a key combination in the  control panel.

Entering the Service Tests Menu
1 Make sure the printer is switched OFF from the power switch on the front of
the printer and NOT from the power switch on the back of the printer.

2 For On-Site Engineers, hold the Up arrow key and the OK key down and
switch the printer ON using the front power switch. Wait until the LED of the
power switch stops flashing (usually after 5 seconds) before releasing ALL
three keys.
In order to enter the Service Utility Menu, please refer to the
instructions on Page.

Download service manual and go to service test driver paper.

Best regard.

Did you get any dirt or ink on the encoder strip when you were removing the paper jam? First thing to do is clean the encoder strip. use alcohol and a paper towel and gently clean.

Shut the printer down by unplugging it when the carriage is moving, not locked in place by the Service Station, Then move the carriage back and forth, does it move smoothly ? No - Inspect the belt, is it frayed?

No, I did not get any dirt or ink at the encoder strip, the paper jam was after end print, is was in the cutting process

There is not paper or paper dust  in the printer, I have also used air to be sure.

The carriage is moving without any problems, the belt has no frayed, is looks like new.

The printer is old, yes, but the guy I have got it from for ½ year ago, has only printed about 100 pictures,

I have put in new print heads and colours and cleaned the printer, and it have been running like a dream, only the paper jam when it cut the paper in also the end of a roll.

The problem is still the same fail 86:01 possible paper jam, there is also another info then I push cancel + down

code: 1x18010002

severity:  Error

priority: 3000

id: 0x101021a

description: string_media_jam

file: calInitiatorCommen.cpp

line: 459

class: scan axis

subclass: movemement

error: carriage jam

define: draco_can_axis_movemement_failure

description: scan axis length test failure

I do not understand any of this, maybe you do ?

Hello.

If the carriage belt is good. Then check the belt pulley, mabe It is broke.

If the pulley is ok. Then run media movement test by service menu.

Hi

Every thing is looking okay, nothing broke or damaged.

If you refer to the menu at the printer, when it is not possible,

I can't do anything, the text info is:  86:01 possible paper jam, I can press ok and get the text, how to open window and lever and close again and restart.

If I press cancel and arrow down simultaneously, then the text appear as I wrote in the last message, codes errors etc.

if you refer to another menu at the PC please help me to find the right way/menu  🙂

sorry for my lack of knowledge
