The most common cause of a startup failure with a blue screen and a alphanumeric code is a failed firmware storage device on the main board. Luckily, that component can be changed out. You need to go the the HP Parts Store and purchase part number CQ890-67105. (usb firmware key). There is a small chance that the mainboard itself is bad but in my experience that is extremely rare. Installation requires removal of the left side cover to access the mainboard.
