Hello @JK339

Please, try the procedures below:

Based on similar HP Designjet error codes, a, hexadecimal system error like "B3562D34" usually points to a firmware failure or a failure in the main PCA (Printed Circuit Assembly) board, often requiring a hardware component replacement.
Here are the troubleshooting steps to address this error:

1. Perform a Power Cycle (Hard Reset)
  • Turn off the plotter using the power switch at the back.
  • Unplug the power cable.
  • Wait at least 15-30 seconds.
  • Plug the power cable back in and turn on the printer.
  • Check if the error persists.

2. Update the Firmware
If the printer allows, download and install the latest firmware from the HP Support website using a USB flash drive via the Pre-Boot Menu. A corrupted firmware can cause these types of system errors.

3. Check for Hardware Failure (Encrypted Chip)
For similar "B" series codes on HP Designjet plotters, the issue is often related to the Encrypted Chip/Module on the main PCA board.
  • Recommendation: If the error persists after a hard reset and firmware update, you may need to replace the formatter/main PCA component.
  • This part can sometimes be purchased directly from HP or authorized resellers.

4. Check for External Connections
If the error is related to a communication issue, try disconnecting any network (LAN) or USB cables to see if the plotter boots up without the error, which might indicate a network-related firmware crash.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, contact HP technical support, as it likely indicates a failed internal component.

Best regards

In most cases this is caused by a failed firmware stick which sits on the formatter board. It is currently listed as obsolete so HP does not stock it but you can try sites like Ebay for sellers that have remaining stock. It might be a bad formatter but in most cases it is the part listed below.

Part you need is CQ890-67105 but according to other users HP no longer supplies that part so you likely need to track one down via
