I need to print pages that are 36" x 60" but I don't have a setting for it and it won't allow me to save a custom paper size. How can I fix this?

Hi @TRE_Electric,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Printing on non-standard paper sizes, such as 36" x 60", typically requires setting up a custom paper size in your printer settings. Here’s how you can do it on an HP printer:

  1. Access Printer Properties:
    • Open the Control Panel on your computer and navigate to Devices and Printers.
    • Right-click on your printer and select Printing preferences.

  2. Create a Custom Paper Size:
    • Within the Printing preferences window, look for an option like Custom Size or User Defined in the Paper/Quality tab.
    • Enter the dimensions for your custom paper size in inches (e.g., width: 36", height: 60").
    • Save this custom size configuration.

  3. Ensure that your Printer Supports Large Paper Sizes:
    • Not all HP printers support custom or large-sized paper. Check your printer’s specifications to ensure it can handle the size you require.
    • If your printer model does not support this size, consider printing at a local print shop that has large-format printers, or look at getting a plotter or large-format printer that can support these dimensions.

  4. Check for Driver Updates:
    • Ensure your printer driver is up to date. You can download the latest drivers from the Official HP® Support.

  5. Adjust Software Settings:
    • If you are using software like Adobe Acrobat or a design tool that allows setting custom sizes, ensure your document properties are also set to 36" x 60".

If these steps do not resolve your issue, or if the options are unavailable, you may need specific printer software or drivers. Consult your printer’s manual for more detailed instructions tailored to your model

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
