Getting error codes 02.1:10...Any suggestions or should I upgrade

The last two digits mean:

10 Replace hp qualified personnel assistance required
 
You will probably need to get your printer professionally repaired.

Please check trailing cable....reconnect the cable with main PCA. Check carriage PCA is good and carriage encoder sensor is good. ....check carriage rear bushing is setup properly. ...Check encoder strip is clean and there haven't any damage. ...check encoder disk IA clean.....if solved you have replace carriage unit......

That code means there's a problem with the carriage PCA board, you can get a replacement board or the entire carriage assembly, I would recommend replacing the whole carriage as replacing the carriage PCA can be very fiddly and the ribbon cables used are very delicate and again very fiddly to plug/unplug. I've tried both methods and replacing the PCA took me two-three times as long as replacing the carriage and involved a lot more swearing.
