Hi there,

There seems to be an ink contamination in my printhead. I suspect either the blue or black inks have leaked into the yellow channel. I tried printing a yellow only test page and it came out greenish/brown instead. The black, cyan and magenta test prints come out fine.

I have taken the printhead out, soaked it in water and dried it periodically the past 24 hours, attached is a picture of the mark the printhead makes when I dab it in paper towels when drying it. You can see the black, cyan and magenta colours are distinct but the yellow is a stained yellow.IMG_6603.JPG

Should I continue this soaking + drying process to flush the entire printhead of the contaminated ink? I am tempted to further dismantle the printhead to see if I can clean it more thoroughly. Or is the entire printhead beyond saving and I should get a new one?

Thanks for your help.
