Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Our DesignJet T1700 printer driver (HP DesignJet T1700 PDF V4) does not allow us to specify a custom page size that is not equal horizontally and vertically.  For example, we need to print 40 inches wide by 30 inches high, but we cannot specify a custom size of 40x30. It has to be 40x40, which results in wasted paper and frustrated users. We print from custom-sized PowerPoint files.

We also do not have the option to tell it to remove blank areas, as explained on page 59 of the manual.

Is there a way to fix this? Our old DesignJet printer allowed us to specify exact page sizes, which resulted in the paper being cut to the proper size by the printer (instead of by us, manually).

Thanks!

Try installing the HPGL driver or make sure that the driver you have installed now is the actual HP driver and not a MIcrosoft driver. The UPD driver pack also included utilities to assist with making best use of paper.
