Microsoft Windows 11

Greetings.

Just received a brand new DesignJet T210 24". Plugged it in and began setup. After Loading ink, selecting country, date, time, etc., the printer moves to the printer head alignment step. It asks for a sheet of white, unused A4 or letter size paper to be inserted in the single sheet tray. Here's where things get weird. It starts the alignment process, and feeds the sheet of paper back and forth a few times, but then ultimately only prints it out with a smiley face on the corner. Nothing else. After that the screen still says aligning the printer head and just hangs there. We even left it overnight and came in in the morning with it still saying the same thing.

When I restart the printer it opens back up to time selection in the setup process. After selecting the time it goes into printer head alignment again. Sometimes I can't even get it to detect the sheet of paper and have to restart again. When it does recognize the paper it always just prints out the small smiley face in the corner.

I'm able to install all of the software for the printer on my computer and open the web interface for the settings. I was able to update the firmware, but when I try to restore to factory default it says it can't because the machine is busy.

I've tried hard resetting the printer by unplugging it from the back of the printer, then the wall, then holding power button for 30 seconds, then plugging back into wall, then printer. This doesn't change anything. It still hangs at printer head alignment after printing smiley face.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
