DesignJet T2600 - Does not wake up by touch-screen

When they designed the HP DesignJet T2600 they placed a brand new touch-screen in the front. And moved the power button far back. And then they forgot to make the touch-screen able to wake up the plotter. VERY STUPID!

Please FIX it HP - By making the touch-screen able to wake up the plotter. Touch-functionality is connected with USB. It is a very normal thing to be able to wake up computers with USB.

And the plotter is just a computer leaking ink. And it is also very normal that devices with a big touch-screen is brought to life simply by touching the display.

If it is not waking up from the touch screen then you may have an actual problem with the device. There is also a power switch on top, just like previous generations. If neither of these wake up the plotter you need to do some troubleshooting to determine where the problem lies. You can check the embedded web server under power options as there might be a setting there that disables wake up from control panel or power button. If you send a job does it wake up normally and print?

Yes: I can wake up the plotter with a job or by pushing the wake up button on the embedded webserver.
