Our DesignJet T650 detects the roll paper, but will not load the roll. I have had multiple phone conversations with HP to get part numbers for what they think is bad.  After verifying that all motors are working (yes I took the shell off) and all the gears are moving, etc. I am making one last effort to understand what the possible issue is.  Does the left roll support operate independently forwards and backwards?  The reason I am asking is because the left roll support does unroll the paper (backwards), however does not move forward.  Can one direction be affected by a bad component?  Or is this the roll paper pulled by a different component?

Any advice or help to understand how this plotter works is welcomed.
