HP DesignJet Z6100ps 60-in Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I picked up a Z6100, I knew it had an error code 8:11, I simply replaced the Main PCA and Hard drive with the correct firmware from HP on it. I booted, it initialized, I heard a fan spin up then I received the error code 01.1:10, it calls for the Print Mech PCA board to be replaced.

I'm weary of purchasing one as I also think the power supply could be causing issues as well, I checked the fuses on the current Print mech board and all checkout to be working, I also checked the power supply outputs and all the voltages are correct.  I don't understand how that board can just die out of no where unless there is a problem occurring somewhere else in the printer, I'm sure it would let me know during initialization if a motor or something was bad. I'm out of ideas, HP doesn't support it anymore, and there isn't much information readily available on the internet about this error code with this specific printer.

This is my last attempt to hopefully find someone who knows a little about this model or the whole series. I really don't want to chuck this thing is the trash as I'm tight on money but I'm in need of a wide-format printer.

I believe that changing the main board and drive at the same time might cause issues. The service manual would confirm that. This is because config data is backed up on the drive and on the board and if you change both the config data is lost. I would suggest that if you still have one of the orignial components that you install that with one of the new components, power on and wait for 5 minutes and then power down and reinstall the other new component.

Okay, I appreciate your input, I did install the new hard drive first and powered it on to see what would happen, thats when I got an error code, I cant remember what it was exactly, but I cycled the power once more, then received the error code 01.1:10, I then swapped out the main PCA but I am still retaining the error, I may swap the old board back and see if that changes anything, Ive already tried clearing the CMOS a few times but that doesn't change anything.

I will swap some components around, I will let you know if it works.
