Designjet 111 Roll 24"
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello all,

This designjet 111 printer is giving me an error code of 2:01, which to my knowledge and research, doesn't exist. If anyone knows/has encountered this error and how to resolve, please let me know. I'm probably being an idiot and it's a very basic error :Crying:

Thank you,

Paul

Hi Paul

02:10 error refers to a faulty carriage, now a couple of things can go wrong with the carriage:

1. Faulty printhead, try removing the heads and restarting the unit, if problem persist then we know it's not the heads, if it's gone maybe try a new set of heads.

2. possible ribbon cable issue, they can get worn out and cause issues.

3. Possible carriage jam, ensure the carriage path is clean and enough oil on shaft

4. carriage faulty.

5. main pcb faulty.

So as you can see a user can perform step 1 and 3 after that a technician should have a look at the unit to confirm if the carriage is faulty.

Good morning,

When I tried to do anything with the carriage, the error code changed to 42:10, so I'm just going to have a service tech come repair.

Thanks!
