Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Hi there,

I have an old Designjet 330 mono plotter that works fine with individual sheets of paper, but not when 'Roll' is selected and I try to feed the roll. When I load the roll the load light flashes. It takes the paper, feeds back and forth a few times and then stops and the load light blinks.

I wonder if anyone can offer any advice? It was taking the paper roll fine previously, but the plotter hasn't been used for 2-3 years so wondering if that has something to do with it.

Regards

J.

Hi again,

To anyone interested, it was operator error. I was having an issue with what I thought was the print head catching the paper. This turn out to be (i think) down to the thin (80 gsm) paper I was using and the little pin wheels (?) bunching it up and the paper hitting the sensor on the print head. I solved this by removing a couple of these pin wheel jockey wheel spring assemblies (they just clip in) and all is well now. But inorder to figue out what was happening, I taped the cover switch so that the plotter thought the cover was closed inorder to watch the printer in operation.

Thanks!
