Designjet 5000
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Is there any way to make a HP Designjet 5000 work with Windows 10 or 11. Just got it and can’t get drivers/software.

You might try going to the HP Support Resources tab on the top of this page and enter the printer model.  I just tried it and they still list a driver for the 5000.  https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-designjet-5000-printer-series/25300

Select which driver you need and try it.  I'm pretty sure it will work with the 5000.  I know I've had success with it in the past.  I'm running Windows 10 64bit.  You can also use the driver for the 5100 and the 5500.

Have you tried connecting it to your computer yet?  Sometimes Windows will load a generic driver but the printer menu is lacking features and not as good as the HP driver.  It's recommended to use the HP driver and manually load it after you've downloaded from HP.

If that doesn't work, maybe you can send me a PM with your email address and I can send you the driver I've used in the past.  Let us know what happens.

It's nice to keep those legacy printers running because they're great printers.  I've had one or two in the past and always had good luck with them.  Be careful with aftermarket inks because they can cause printhead problems.

I don't work for HP....I just repair their printers.

Unless Microsoft has added a native driver, then you may be in for a challenge.

5000 series not listed as supported AT ALL. My suggestion would be to see if you can find a plotter user group that might have a solution or possibly spool up a PC with an older operating system to use as a print server for the plotter.
