Product: Designjet 800 PS
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The firmware update says I must have at least version A.02.06 to apply the update. My plotter properties shows to have HP Designjet Printer Drive v7.0 and Data File Version v2.0. I'm not sure how to decipher versions. I am getting an error 05:10 and was told by HP Support this might fix my problem. I can't get the plpotter to show me anything other than this error on the screen.800PS.JPG

HP Recommended

Removed the formatter card and was able to access the font panel of the plotter. Apparently I have version A.04.02 which is what the update is. I'm thinking updating is not going to fix my problem so I am ordering a refurbished card. I found one here (https://www.lpscomputer.com/collections/designjet-500-800-parts-page/products/c7779-69272-designjet-...) for $275 less a $100 core charge whic makes it $175. Not bad if it works and way cheaper than a new plotter.
