HP DesignJet T120 24-in Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi

I sent something to print and received an out of ink message for the black cartridge. I replaced it with a new genuine cartridge but found that the old one had leaked. I carefully cleaned out the ink that was accessible without touching any delicate parts. I now have a message saying there is a printer error, 'There is a problem with the printer or ink system. Turn printer off then on, if problem persists contact HP. Turning it off didn't help.

I have found a troubleshooting guide on the HP website for this error saying to remove the ink and printer head and then re-install to see if it fixes the problem but it hasn't. Any other suggestions that I can try? Is it worth replacing the printer head when it isn't asking me to, as I have seen on other posts with the same problem that it didn't resolve the problem.

Thanks. Claire

99% probability the printhead is the issue..it will have to be replaced.
