Microsoft Windows 11

Hi,

On start up of DesignJet T520 printer I get a blue screen error, I have seen the following 3 error numbers:

B30169F8

B87D2232

B87D2234

The last number is the most common.

I would be grateful for any assistance.

If you get a blue screen and error on every power up then the most common cause is a failed USB firmware device. This is a key that mounts on the formatter. Replacement part number is CQ890-67105. There is a slight chance that it might be the formatter but in most cases it is just the USB key. Order from the HP Parts Store  url is parts.hp.com

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing blue screen errors on your DesignJet T520 printer. These errors can be frustrating, but I'll do my best to provide some general troubleshooting steps to help you address the issue.

1. **Power Cycle the Printer**: Try turning off the printer, unplugging it from the power source, and waiting for a few minutes. Then, plug it back in and power it on again. Sometimes, a simple power cycle can resolve temporary glitches.

2. **Check for Firmware Updates**: Visit the official HP website and check for any available firmware updates for your DesignJet T520 printer. If there are updates, download and install them following the manufacturer's instructions. Firmware updates often include bug fixes and improvements that can resolve certain issues.

3. **Check for Hardware Issues**: Ensure that all cables and connections are securely attached to the printer. Loose or damaged cables can sometimes cause errors. Additionally, check for any visible damage to the printer or its internal components.

4. **Perform a Hard Reset**: If the issue persists, perform a hard reset on the printer. You can find specific instructions on how to do this in the printer's user manual or on the HP support website.

5. **Remove and Reinstall Ink Cartridges**: Sometimes, issues with ink cartridges can cause errors. Remove the ink cartridges, check for any obstructions or damage, and then reinstall them properly.

6. **Contact HP Support**: If the problem continues despite trying the above steps, it's best to contact HP support for further assistance. They can provide more specific troubleshooting steps or arrange for repairs if necessary.

Please keep in mind that blue screen errors can indicate various issues, and the specific error codes you provided might require detailed analysis by HP support or a certified technician. If your printer is under warranty, reaching out to HP support is highly recommended.

Remember that I'm an AI language model and may not have access to real-time data or specific technical details about your printer. For the most accurate and timely support, it's best to reach out to the official HP support channels or consult with a professional technician.
