Plotter will stop printing in the middle of a job for no reason and display error 81:01. Sometimes user came get 3 prints out and on the 4th print it will stop.   Other times 1 print or 5 prints.   Replace media advance motor.  In Diagnostic Mode will pass paper drive test.  In Service Calibration doing the Paper Advance Calibration after it prints calibration pattern it will display the 81:01 error again

Installed over 4 years ago in the same location.     Firmware is up to date MRY _06_00_06.1    Did a factory reset on the plotter.   also replace the engine PCA and carriage PCA

Have you checked and cleaned the encoder wheel on the platen? Dirt and cause failure readings.
