Sure looks like the board. Have fun installing it. You have to remove a ton of screws to first remove the power supply to gain access to the board and then remove and install the replacement. Not a fun job, but necessary if you want to save some bucks.

I tried replacing the control panel, same problem occurs.  Tried replacing the formatter board, same problem occurs except that I get 8 loud beeps.  Still blank LCD panel, still blinking green power button on the control panel.  

 

Next step: main board replacement.  

 

Any tips/suggestions/warnings from anybody about doing this work?

Remove the power supply per the service manual. You then remove all the screws that secure the power supply to the upper portion of the power supply/main board assembly. You should get to the position where you can raise the power supply unit including the switch and power receptacle and then you remove the power connection from the power supply to the main board. It is like an ATX connector. The power supply will then release from the frame. You then need to remove all the screws that secure the board to the remainder of the frame and swap it out and do everything else in reverse.

Bougth this machine and is failed to wake up after a week on stand by just a  lit blank screen, tried unplug it and re-fit the formatter, change another power cable and wait and wait and it still fast asleep.

I have removed the coin battery to check with a multi meter and it seems to be fine, now the engineer who I bought the machine off say removing the battery will damaged the board (by its already dead) and void the 3 months warranty!

 

Can anyone tell me by removing the battery will it damage the formatter.
