I have been using Z3200 44" printers for few years & have plenty of experience with this model...

Lately I am encountered a very very crazy problems with light gray color printhead & ink cartridge.

This printer I used for at least 2 years... perfect... even replaced with printheads & inks... last 2 weeks,
it kept saying     pk/lg faulty... ( I had genuine hp #70 printhead, also remanuctured printheads  )  , still

said faulty.
I reset  eeprom..... checked all air bubbles of all colors... perfect.... still said  pk/lg printhead faulty.. so I
bought a brand new & dated mar/2023....   waited a week, received.... after printer prepare ink system,

then said my   lg ink faulty... I had the ink mar 2021....  so I bought the brand new ink hp lg ink cartridge
$92.34. dated Mar 2023,..

after a while... now printer said     replace faulty ink cartridge....

Firmware updated... not even connect to computer...

oct 2, I replaced the right ink station, cable from print mac card to the station....   same old.

I also drew over 10 mil ink.. cleaned contacts, no leaks...     same old....

Hi @rubensanchez01

I will suggest you running the IDS tests from the diagnostics menu, this will help you to determine if there is something wrong with the Ink Supply Station.

Hi @rubensanchez01

Please run the carriage test in the printer that doesn't recognize the Mk-Cr

All cartridges could be marked as faulty by the printer if they were rejected before replacing the ISS.

Because all printheads and inks are under warranty I will suggest you calling HP tech support because they can help you to determine what is wrong and also they can give you warranty in the consumables that are in warranty as well.

@harryCR

the carriage box test fail & message as :

error 58:11
fail deltae out of limite

92.000 >8
Carriage box look like brand, all inks were fine, except 1. printer was working beautifully

& suddenly gave error ..

I have 3     Z3200 44" out of service  only 1     24" Z2100 working...

thanks for your advise...

Hi @rubensanchez01

The 58:11 is an error related to the line sensor, not related with the printheads reading.

@harryCR:
you mentioned to test carriage box & 58:11 was error .
Too much troubles with the #70 light gray color, I have 2 Z3200, 1 Z3100, all 3 having troubles with LG ink &
none working for 10 days now.
I am working to downgrade these printers to configuration of Z2100 with only 8 colors... I repaired
a  24" Z2100 easily with #70 printheads, ink cartridges not working on Z3100, Z3200.  Print quality

is about 90% same as good as 12 colors.... Except     1   printing  color was not match.

I returned the LG ink on Ebay &  used this money to buy 2  the same, expired... Anyway, the warranty ink was
not working, why waste the money ?
