Hi. I have to troubleshoot a Designjet z5400 that is not printing even after replacing printheads & ink cartridges.

Someone had this problem before?

I have the same printer but haven't run into this before.  Are you saying it doesn't do anything like move the carriage at all or does the carriage move but there is no ink output?

The front panel should have a function called "Image Quality".  See if that will print.

If that doesn't print, try shutting down the printer from the front power switch, then the rear power switch.  Wait 30 seconds.  Before powering up again, remove all the ink cartridges.  Then reboot and insert the ink when the printer asks for them and see if anything changes.  Let us know what happens.

I don't work for HP....I just repair their printers.
