HP OfficeJet 7612 Wide Format e-All-in-One
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have bought three of these printers in the last ten years, most recent was about 7-8 years ago. It's worked well and when necessary we would replace the dried out ink cartridges (because we did not once actually use the ink until it ran out normally) and now, after cleaning it up and getting a new wifi modem/router, I am unable to use my unit at all.

There is a permanent 'print head error' and I cannot access the devices menu to enter in new wifi details so I can at least make use of the scanner portion of this unit. The scanner bed is the perfect size for an artist like myself and upon researching how to fix this error, your device uses screws that no one has the tool for (2.3mm Alan key? Who has this I mean really!?) And it costs nearly the amount of the unit for a new print head.

No. I will not be using HP products or purchasing your printers ever again. The lengths one has to go to in order to keep your devices running optimally is atrocious.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I see that you are getting print head error on your HP OfficeJet 7612 Wide Format E-All-In-One.

Please follow the steps listed below to reset the printer.

1. If your printer has a rechargeable battery, remove it.

2. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.

3. Unplug the power cord from the power source.

4. Wait 60 seconds.

5. Reconnect the power cord to a wall outlet and to the printer.

NOTE: HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

6. Turn on the printer to complete the reset.
