Designjet Z5400
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've tried to download the Z5400 firmware update 4 times from https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/closure/hp-designjet-z5400-postscript-printer/53964... The download stalls after only 70 MB downloaded of 847 MB.  The filename is CH_08_02_00.1.FMW.  Is there an HP ftp site I can download the file from?  Please advise.

Consider:

Use a different browser if the instructions for the Embedded Web Server (EWS) are  not working on Chrome.

In general, the browser should not balk at a larger file unless there is something "else" going on that would prevent that file from downloading.  Having said that, Chrome is fussy sometimes.  If you wish to do so before abandoning your favorite Chrome browser, try Restarting both your computer and your router.  When you log in, do not start a bunch of other programs (like mail, for example).

The file on this page is the official "HP" file from the ftp site.

HP Designjet Z5400 44-in PostScript ePrinter Firmware Update

Two options - (fully exp;ained in Section Installation instructions)

1.  Use the Embedded Web Server (EWS) to download and install the update:

Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

OR

2.  Download the Update file and put the file on a USB drive.
