Hi,

The error means that you have a problem with the Right Ink Supply Station

This could be caused by an ink leak, the cable that connects the ISS to the Printmech is damage, a bad ISS or a Bad Printmech.

If you remove the cover and there is a leak you will need to replace the ISS, the ink cartridge and the tubes, if the leak is comming from it

Dear Professor,

I started geting the 22.2.10 error on my 24inch z2100. Sure enough there was some leakage around some of the print heads and cartriges.

I replaced the ink tubes. When I restarted the printer complained about the cartriges: too old, not enough ink, blah, blah. So I replaced all the cartriges except the Cyan which was almost new. When I restarted the printer I got the 22.2.10, plus the control panel was totaly nonresponsive except for power button. Four times I tried restarting (after unpluging) with the same result. I would like to perform a service test on the ink supply but without the control panel?

What do I do next?

Thanks, Dave DG

Can I assume you have found and downloaded the service manual for this printer. If you have there is a section in the manual for entering a service test menu under special mode. It is at the start of Chapter 4. If you do not have the manual then do a google search as you should not be working on this printer without the service manual.

Adding to David's responce

IF you had a leak on the ISS and the ink reached the electrical contacts, the ISS has been damage.

OR, the cable was not connected correctly, reseat the connections

BE really Carefull with the connections on the Main PCA.

It was a common mistake to connect the ISS and harness cable wrong.

If you are lucky, you will get an error pointing to a problem with the Main PCA

Or, as in many cases, blow the Main PCA and will need a new one.

And try to access the diagnostic menu and runthe IDS test to troubleshoot further.

Mike:

I have 2 machines, one is Z3200 44" & other one is Z3100 24". Both have same 22.2:10 error ( new service station & I used very little for few  months, then no use for a while ).

Today I opened the right cover on the Z3200 & no ink leaks... but the service station is full of inks. When I did the

service station & error came right up.

Tomorrow I am going to replace service station & see what happen.

I fixed the 44" Z3200 by replaced new & good inks & it is printing beautifully. But one problem

remain which not perform printhead alignment. Everytime I did printhead alignment & after 5%

& cancelled, due to scan error.

I cleaned the encorder strip, silver metal rod with lubrication, also thr ight side ink drop box.

Anyway it print super nice color & photos, gicleee prints, i just wait & see.

Other 24" Z3100 I do not have enoght printheads & inks, so I will try to fix later.
