Product: Designjet 800 c7780c

Can't get rid of the 79.04 code. Have isolated the plotter and confirmed latest firmware. 

Display reads:

 

System Error

 

Asertion : failed

task: interrupt

file: carmotor.c

line: 2364

 

Greatfull for any help.

Hi 

 

the 79 error is quite generic

 

Its hard to track down  BUT 

 

I have found the most common cause to be a faulty printhead. 

 

If you have a spare set  replace them 

 

It only be one which as failed -so you can chase down which one it is

 

The next cause is the Electronics module.   These are available on ebay. It is about 1 hours work to swap it out. Needs only simple tools
