HP DesignJet XL 3600dr 36-in Multifunction Printer with PostScript/PDF

Due to supply shortages I'm always trying to pick up any compatible ink cartridges I can for my plotter whenever they're available. My plotter takes "HP 766F" cartridges but when I look for Gray ink I only find "HP 766". This might be a stupid question, but are these the same thing? Random vendors are showing that it's compatible with my DesignJet XL 3600, but I just want to be sure.

According to the HP partsufer, that part number is listed as only supporting the MFP versions of the 3600 series. I am tagging the moderators to have them engage someone from HP for further clarification.
