Hi

Have a feature request for HP Click.

Can you please add the possibility to change SNMP string HP Click uses to connect to printers. For security reasons we are not allowed to use public string so we need to be able to specify string.

Hello @johan_hu, Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for sharing this feature request. I understand the concern, especially in environments were using the default “public” SNMP community string is not permitted for security reasons.

At present, HP Click documentation specifies the public SNMP community name for SNMP communication with supported printers.

The ability to configure a custom SNMP community string in HP Click would be a valuable enhancement for managed and security-restricted environments.

I’ll make sure your feedback is noted as a feature request for the HP Click team. Thank you for bringing this requirement to our attention.

This avoids promising that the feature will be implemented while clearly recognizing the security requirement.

Have a great day!

I'm an HP Employee.
