Product: HP Design Jet 500
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Can the HP Expiration date (smart chip) built into HP 11 Printer Heads be disabled?  I cleaned , flush  & pulled ink from Ink Cartridge thru HP 11 Printer Heads, & now have error message 78-04. Any suggestion from the Community?   Is there a less expensive Printer Head that will work with my Plotter?

Can you confirm the error code as there are no 78 codes listed in the service documentation for this model.
