HP DesignJet T100 won't recognize roll paper.  I bought a new OOPS sensor and installed.  I have trimmed the leading edge of the paper and it's clean.  I have tried various paper types with no luck.  I tried removing the manual paper feeder from the back as i saw someone commented that worked for them.  I'm out of ideas.  Please help.

Does it feed the sheet inside or not?

Yes.  This is roll paper.  After I feed the roll the printer grabs it and you can hear the printer head moving and scanning.  It does that for 10-15 seconds and then says printer does not recognize paper.

It's not the OOPS, the carriage assembly has a line sensor that emits light that reflects from a white sheet so the printer knows that paper is loaded. It's probably dirty or in the worst case defective. You can see blue lights from above that scan the paper sheet that is the line sensor.

I did locate the sensor and cleaned it with a microfiber cloth as described in the manual.  It still did not resolve the problem.

I was able to see the sensor in action with the side panel removed.  It omitted a yellow light instead of a blue light.  Would that be significant or indicate a bad sensor?

It's yellow for scanning paper, not blue my mistake. You will probably need to replace the carriage assembly with cables.
